Our system pays off and even shades the roof of the bedroom and children's room. Everyone sleeps wonderfully. When we sleep, the system also produces nothing, as it is dark. No current flows and there is no magnetic field. And if there were one, there would be no reason to be afraid of it.

The specialist often also sells solar systems and storage. He has his own interests in this. One must be aware of that.

We had our photovoltaic system with 8kWp installed last week. Now we are just waiting for the meter installation by the grid operator, then we can start producing electricity!

Photovoltaics almost always pay off! Even if you only feed in and have 20% self-consumption. The system pays for itself after 10-14 years. After that, it generates money. Modules have a 25-year performance warranty (87% of nominal output after 25 years) and the inverter has a 12-year warranty.

Since we heat with an air-water heat pump, I work from home a lot, and have a large aquarium, I expect at least 30%-40% self-consumption. The system is set up so that through an interface the air-water heat pump can be controlled when there is photovoltaic surplus and the hot water tank or the underfloor heating can be "overheated". That means when there is too much photovoltaic power, the hot water is heated to 50°C instead of 45°C. This way the air-water heat pump can pause longer in heating the hot water when no photovoltaic power is available. It is virtually an energy storage. The same applies to the floor heating. It can be heated a bit more within the personal comfort zone to store the photovoltaic electricity as heat.

Ikea is entering the photovoltaic market with interesting prices. There will be a lot of movement in the future!
