Optimization of electrical planning for a 140 m² semi-detached house

I believe there is a thread here with long discussions. We decided against Sat. It costs money, looks stupid, takes up space on the south roof for [Photovoltaik], and only offers linear television... The network is clearly much more useful.

We had the appointment with the electrician now. He suggests that we do not install any satellite sockets and that he credits us for them. Since we use Magenta-TV, I myself also see no necessity. Do you have any opinions or reasons to install satellite sockets after all?

If you use MagentaTV with a media receiver or MagentaTV box, the switch must support IGMPv3. Just as a hint in case it's not known. In my view, there is no right or wrong with satellite. It simply depends on each person's habits. Two years ago, I would have definitely said yes. Today, rather not anymore. You can use it as a backup, but how often does the internet really go down? Looking back over the past 12 months, we’ve had problems for maybe 2 days. In case of doubt, you can also get through those times without TV.

As far as I know, the switch does not have to support this for the app. On the other hand, such a smart managed switch costs only slightly more than a dumb switch.
