We are also currently working on the electrical planning

We will definitely provide enough WLAN APs on the ceiling, 1 per floor + 1 in the garden (no repeaters)

For the video doorbell preparation, I was told that one should use a j-y(st)y 4x2x0.8 + Cat or is a CAT Duplex the better choice?

I would also not have a high-voltage socket installed in the garage as a wallbox preparation
Then you can simply plug in a mobile wallbox and that's it

On the topic of Videolinkgel: We were also convinced to prepare that. However, we did not find any meaningful use case for it in a single-family house. It wasn’t that easy to fit the cable mess into a normal doorbell. ;-)

first install a flush-mounted box suitable for outdoor use. Plenty of leftover centimeters of the LAN cable fit in there

We have already prepared the empty conduit to the roof.

I'll talk to the electrician about that. Currently, apart from the sockets on the house wall, I do not need any electricity.

I will clarify exactly what I need as preparation for a wallbox and would then have exactly that installed.

Correct, I will take care of that over the weekend. However, I will probably create a separate plan for this to keep everything from becoming too confusing.

Honestly, I haven't given that much thought yet.

Yes, the garage door will be electrically operated. I'll address that again.

Thanks for the input. I will then search again regarding the mounting and installation of the APs. The APs from Unifi have already caught my eye.

For the roller shutters, I would try to work with integrated timers, but I will inquire further about that as well. Control via app also sounds charming if the costs remain manageable.

Which APs would you recommend?

Many use Unifi but there are also, for example, TP-Link Omada which is supposed to have a good price/performance ratio

Netgear is also said to have good APs

Which are best?

Which video doorbell would you recommend?

Doorbird?
