Well, what is it then, either you hardly have any time. Then you have 40-hour jobs where you can usually easily spend 20 more minutes driving every day without blinking. Or you have no money because it is really tight. Then it is understandable that you don’t want to bear any additional costs. So why do you want to own a house?

A bicycle pays off positively: the mileage allowance is higher than the wear and tear costs. Health and leisure are factored in as well. I would definitely try riding the 23 km by bike to see.

I advise you to cancel the appointment tomorrow. You haven't said a kind word about the private property in the initial thread about the property. Besides, the access road is being used as an excuse because you are far too spoiled in that regard. Cancel on him and focus on the few municipal plots and see it as fate if you don't get any of them.

Listen to your gut, it says no! You don't want to spend most of your daily work effort on something you're not convinced of. It will take so much work, effort, and probably the occasional argument, then you live there and wonder if the other option wouldn't have been better? Nope!

The viewing appointment was better than expected. The plot of land itself is great. Flat, nicely oriented, beautiful cul-de-sac street on the edge of town. Internet is still somewhat uncertain. We need to inquire with the city whether there are plans for fiber optic there. The local company went bankrupt 2 years ago and currently there are probably only empty conduits installed, which means exclusively mobile internet. We can still take 1-2 months to decide whether to take it.

Today we had another appointment for a house offer. €300,000 for a 100sqm bungalow from Haas.

We are still trying to get something in the nearby area. There are still a few parcels available via leasehold from the church. About a 15-minute drive. I would need to look closely at the contract details regarding how the lease payments can increase over time. Besides that, we need to see if it is even possible for us since we have left the association. A few more parcels are planned in a town about a 9-minute drive away. But these are not publicly listed yet; we were only informed via email. And it is directly on a fairly busy country road at the edge of town. The road is a feeder road to the highway that is right next to the town. Flat plot, unfortunately oriented so that the garden faces the residential road, meaning longer connection costs and visibility from the residential street. Directly behind the house on the other side is the busy road. However, it should be cheap per square meter.

We are still looking elsewhere but will probably take the more distant plot if we do not find anything else by the deadline.

Small addition to the house offer. As a current promotion, we would get 5.8kwp photovoltaic including a 6.5kwh battery at no extra cost. (Value 20k€) Painting work, laying the floor by ourselves, and puttying and sanding work also by ourselves. Except for the bathroom and WC, we would have those finished by others.
