Regarding the original thread:
we now belong to the faction of no/little Styrofoam.

Okal Haus we once visited their show house. during the first walkthrough they already wanted to persuade us to sign and cornered us as a pair, besides many proven false statements – that’s when we dropped out. Of course, there might be more qualified consultants elsewhere. They would be out anyway because of Styrofoam.

Weberhaus was also in the running, but somehow the spark didn’t catch. On paper it had everything we wanted, but somehow... it didn’t fit. Maybe with the thought in mind that we were already significantly further along with the competition and had some arguments for that.

Schwörerhaus – is what it ended up being. The most and best professional info, transparency in price, no pressure to sign. My parents also built with them two decades ago. We really like the wall construction with the Cospan panels, but that is again a philosophical matter. You do have somewhat more mass and better sound insulation. Meanwhile the basement is done, dates are being kept. In the meantime we had a lot of waiting time, which is also related to the architect (who you hire separately).
Current status: We would build again with Schwörerhaus, but definitely choose a different architect!

They do wash out over time.

Yep, we don’t have streaks, but on the north wall, where a pot with a plant stands, it gets green around it. But that can be sprayed in spring, then it goes away again.

That means you assume same holding = same assembly plant?

Does it just come off that easily? Why don't people do it then? I only have experience with clay on the facade, because nothing happened on the outside the first year. And even with the pressure washer, it didn't come off 100%.

I assume that the colors are purchased in bulk together. And a certain quality should be a prerequisite. I believe the manufacturer of the paint was even listed in the construction specifications at Schwörerhaus.

I can't confirm that. The salesperson did have all the prices ready, but I had to painfully extract them from him. Essentially, he did almost nothing and just waited for us to sign. At the second appointment, at the end of the conversation, we were shown (not given!) a sheet stating that prices would increase by the end of the year and that one should quickly sign a preliminary contract to lock in the prices. Notably, this was 1.5 weeks before Christmas. All of this despite the fact that I had already brought up the topic of the offer's time limit in the previous conversation and that we only wanted to make a final decision in January (that would have been the time to bring up the price increase). He hasn't contacted us since then to ask if we are still interested. Conclusion: bad salespeople exist everywhere

Our previous experience with Schwörerhaus: several appointments before signing the contract with a rough house plan and rough price indications each time. Questions about individual items were addressed and prices were given. The price increase was announced one month in advance to avoid spontaneous pressure but also to prevent regrets afterward about an increase. The old conditions were extended for one month. Unfortunately, after signing, there has been little communication so far, and our purchasing advisor remains the only person responsible for us. He was already quite stressed back then, difficult, and seemed to work a 7-day week. The quality seems to be very good according to other homeowners, and the communication appears to be very good after the architect’s plans are reviewed. However, this currently takes 6 months. So building quickly with Schwörerhaus is currently not possible; one should be aware of that.
