Therefore, a facade must be de-alged after a few years; this cannot be done completely without toxins either. All the insulation for the global climate has basically brought us the algae problem. Silicone paints are also not unproblematic. They also only last a few years, then the silicone is leached out, and the stuff is chemically extremely stable and remains in the soil for centuries. Also extremely UV resistant.
