... roughly counted above, fits into the distribution board discussed with the electrician. He (the electrician) has 48TE + 24 transfer switches for power, we have 96TE + 24TE for the smart home including transfer wiring, concealed with low installation height.

My planning regarding lighting and PM etc. is now almost complete. Nevertheless, some questions keep coming up (in my head).
A few things are already certain though. For example, that a professional lighting planner will no longer "come on board," it is too late for that and not even desired. We will have to live with possibly suboptimal results. But this will probably be the case for the majority of the population anyway ;)

I am also aware that I cannot create a perfect plan for the rental apartment upstairs, since the furnishing is not fixed and the habits of future tenants are simply unknown. That is why I will also provide some unused outlet boxes in the upper floor where PM or lamps can later be installed. But since the attic floor structure consists only of dry screed panels, the possibilities are very limited. Mainly in the line of the controlled residential ventilation valves, near the knee wall (which will be boxed in) there are good possibilities.

But for my residential unit on the ground floor, there are still many options. Here is the first question:

I would like a PM that at night (time period ~24:00 - 5:00) turns the light on in the hallway and bathroom to, say, 20% brightness when it detects "appropriate" movement in the bedroom. Where would this be optimally installed? I always only hear about these "ominous": under the bed PM... Would that actually be the right place?

1. Installation in the bedroom: Light in the hallway turns on when you turn around or move in any other way
2. Installation under the bed: Light in the hallway turns on when someone gets out of bed or the warm blanket hangs out awkwardly
3. Installation in the hallway: Light in the hallway turns on when you enter the hallway.

If I assume that your bedroom door is closed while sleeping, it makes absolutely no sense to install the PM anywhere other than in the hallway. Installation in the bedroom or such nonsense under the bed only makes sense if you want to switch on a light INSIDE the bedroom or detect sleep mode (for other automations). If you don’t want that – my wife, for example, wakes up at the first photon – you will have to make your way to the door in the dark anyway and wouldn’t have gained anything with a sensor in the bedroom.

A real leaving of the bed I have reliably realized with pressure sensor mats under the bedside rug or in the right spot under the bedroom carpet. As mentioned, PMs under the bed also like to react to hanging-out blankets.

If you really want to detect movement in the bedroom, a sensor with sharply defined detection is recommended, which looks past the bed and triggers when you have moved a defined distance away from the bed. However, something like that cannot be planned exactly in advance and, in my opinion, has a very high potential to not work properly.

@superzapp = ?

Directly the first question.
Do you use the same system as Superzapp/Knalltüte?

It's making progress, one half of the house already has electricity, but I am still missing the list from the electricians to install blinds and lamps, then the first residential unit will be finished. Two others are also half finished, the last one hasn't even been started yet :rolleyes: Network is 65% complete ... unfortunately, some labels were "lost" and some had to be searched for ("called through").
