I’m sure I can also find something for myself in the truckload. But if a whole new system based on a fundamentally sensible principle is already being announced here, one can ask, right?

Should this be published in detail? I understood that the OP is explaining what he is doing for himself. For most other readers, however, it would probably fail already at the programming understanding.

Hello, I am happy to respond to this.

In fact, we intend to market this system as FA in the future (through GU/BU/electricians etc. as multipliers).

Currently, the prototype is being built and the basic programming is being carried out. This naturally includes extensive documentation (initially exclusively for our own use).

Whether and to what extent we will publish this documentation so that everyone can build the system themselves or which parts of the programming (presumably the GUI) we will not publish in order to monetize them is not yet decided.
I will definitely publish the basic structure of the system here. The rest will then be decided at a shareholders' meeting after commissioning.

Certainly, this decision will also depend on how satisfied we are with the system ourselves and whether we have achieved the goals we set.

Tomorrow, the last details of the house will be discussed at BU, then in the next few days production will start. Installation will take place in mid-October. Then wiring will probably begin around December / January. Further progress here soon in words and pictures.

I'm also currently dealing with the topic and am reading along with interest. However, I have one objection. If you set it all up yourselves and want to distribute it, have you ever considered implementing it with [Blockchain]? I'm currently reading up intensively on that and find the combination of smart home and [Blockchain] very appealing.

Hi, what do you intend to use the blockchain for? What do you want to secure with it (für immer und ewig)? I currently don’t see the blockchain topic related to SmartHome ... However, we are open to it. If it proves to be useful, we will gladly reconsider an implementation.

It's not just about securing but also preventing manipulation. IoT is already a widely discussed topic, but monitoring, controlling, etc., the different systems, especially in a SmartHome, I see as realistically reliable only in a private blockchain. One wants to be the master of their own data. Also, regarding SmartGrid, SmartMeter, the task can probably only be solved with it. Here is also the following, relatively recent research paper (in English).

What I forgot to mention is that the system would be decentralized.
