Even with good workmanship, the door at the stile will always be a little less rigid than at a frame, and therefore vibrate a tiny bit more. This does not necessarily make closing the door measurably much quieter, but it can make a difference for light sleepers.

But I wouldn't separate that as a separate room. It's annoying to squeeze into a 2x2 room with cabinets in it. I would remove the wall completely, maybe move the door to the garage a bit downwards, and then place a nice big cloakroom on the wall towards the garage.
