A kitchen cabinet / shelf is usually about 60 cm deep. You should have about 1 meter in front of it to walk. So for me, 1.60 m is a good measurement. If large appliances (freezer?) are to be included, I would possibly add another 10 cm in the plan. In the end, you also lose a few centimeters due to plaster.

Why do you question the basement?

Apparently there is a fixed idea about how a pantry is to be used. But exactly this thought comes before the dimensioning.

In my opinion, the size of the pantry is perfectly fine if you don't put a cooling device inside, but use shelves the width of the narrow side of a beer crate, somewhat deeper at the front. The additional cooling device can go in the (laundry) cellar – one goes into the kitchen. Side effect: It does not unnecessarily heat up the pantry.

What is in the rather expensive basement?
Drinks upstairs
Freezer upstairs
Yellow bag upstairs

Condensing boiler, fuse box
Office without daylight
Washing machine and dryer not because it is practical, but because there is space

Comfortable for a freezer is about 150 cm. It should open without bumping your arm. Either pantry as drawn by Kaho or as suggested by Hampshire in the basement.

Be sure to take paper and pencil and draw your desired furniture or existing furniture to scale.

Such nonsense from the ballpoint pen analog faction again...:

With SH3D you have everything, you just must not cheat yourself. I measure my sofa at home - 3m - enter 300 under "Width (cm)" and that's it!
Or I look up online the measurements of this or that kitchen part - then I transfer it like that into SH3D - fits.

Wow yes indeed! The sofa is now 3m long. What you can do with a PC without a ballpoint pen, amazing, and tomorrow people will still fly to the moon, unbelievable.
*Irony off*

Here is my constructive contribution Still the table should be 1.40m:

and where is the problem now? I even drew in my 3.2m sofa just for fun. The dining table is also "upper edge" in size. If you look online and want three chairs per side, you are often suggested 1.9m instead of 2.1m.

I also don’t find the "overhanging" kitchen bad. You use underfloor heating and make the "all-room" flow evenly. If coziness is missed somewhere, lay nice rugs down.

best regards
