I would simply agree with the opinion of your neighbors. Have you already said which half of the two is yours?

How busy or frequented is the street anyway? Car noise is really annoying when you want to relax quietly on the terrace, and sitting between parked cars would not be my first choice either. Likewise, having a south-facing terrace is not so desirable nowadays. Much too hot. We are currently planning to build a second terrace on the north side ourselves. In addition, you can protect yourself much better from curious eyes behind the house. Hardly anyone likes to sit on a display platter.

The fear of darkness in the north can be counteracted with larger window surfaces. (Yes, light does come through north-facing windows!) I like to plan a sunroom with some light from above for a complete north orientation. That is often the most beautiful room in the whole house.

With 355 sqm, you can’t be too generous with paths and parking spaces and paving everything. You want to see a flower somewhere at some point. That’s why I would place the house as close to the street as possible and have short paths.

I partly don’t understand your questions, so simply from top to bottom

Not for me, it seems to have uncomfortable minimum dimensions. Have the architect give you the step and riser length. Anything under 19/26 is stupid, especially since with this stair shape the steps also taper in the middle.

Because it’s annoying to have to go around something you want to reach quickly, here the entrance to the house. Visitors will probably knock at the terrace door – that’s what happens in our ETW.

No, then it wouldn’t be generous anymore.

What do you mean?

Because small can be cozy.

We already said that: because the kitchen needs daylight and the kitchen is the center of everyday life.

There simply isn’t always an alternative.

The original poster wants a playground and kindergarten for his child and others. So why should he be the one to ensure that a quiet zone (here in the north) is disturbed? Can't one just maintain peace instead of "drawing noise toward peace"?

Yes, glass pergola with awning

I thought that was basically the premise with this designation of the green space, but then I’m wrong

Understandable, how would your floor plan look then?

If you go to the rear building line, you first have 2-3 meters of the neighbor’s house in view to the left (to the east side) when you go out of the house onto the terrace in the south, and not the open space through the neighbor’s garden to the south. Likewise in the west, here you also look from the terrace onto the neighbor’s house. Thus, the east neighbor’s house shades the terrace of one half in the morning. We took a closer look at this again in the renewed consideration, because this does not happen with a building on the front boundary.

You mean the opinion of the other half? We would take the east half.

The street is a quiet residential street without much through traffic. With a parking space and carport in front (+ fence or bushes), you would also separate yourself from the street, at least visually.
