It definitely has to be something creative
that's why I registered here prophylactically...
so that – starting in March, as soon as I can search offline without freezing and with more than 8 hours of daylight – whenever any "quirky" objects turn up, I can discuss creative ideas for their use and habitability with you
inspired, among other things, by an article in the Stuttgarter Zeitung last weekend titled "A house on a parking lot," where a retired couple set up home on 82 sqm living space;
I only have it on paper right now – I can't quickly link it
I quote partly/in keywords:
"Affordable materials, smart architecture... We actually wanted to build a carport on the property... The plot is 9 meters wide and 33 meters long... 'refined shell construction'... many of the materials were mostly left as they look in nature"
so I came up with the idea whether, besides searching for cheap existing properties (with little or a lot of renovation needed), I might also keep an eye out for non-"normally" buildable leftover plots?
furthermore, spontaneous questions could arise if I see somewhere a shed/vacant commercial space/whatever that might be worth considering in case of conversion and how much work that would involve...
