Once again an update: our shell is standing and the roof is closed.

Our expert was here and found nothing to complain about. That was already great!

Currently, the facing bricks are there, but the people for that are still busy. Therefore, nothing has happened for 3 weeks, but it should be finished by the end of November.

At the beginning of December, the roof will be covered and in mid-December the windows will be installed and the electrician will also start at the end of December.

This weekend it's time for the tile selection for the first time. That was the only sample selection we couldn't attend before.

Oh yes.. planned handover date [25.4.2022]

Thank you for the feedback. Pictures say more than words. Did the land soil compensation work?

Currently, the scaffold is up, the property is completely filled. But when it's done, I'll post pictures :)

The house is 3.5 m away from the property boundary, and it has stayed that way.

I'll give an update again now:

The house is now fully clad with bricks. However, the workers did not use edge stones around the windows on the outside, but the regular perforated ones. You can of course see that when looking at the windows from the outside (see photo).

Today the guys are here again to correct that on all the windows. Normally, the jointing work should have started last week; it is supposed to begin during this week.

Last week we had the construction meeting for the electrical work. Everything was already marked on the shell of the building, so we could easily check if we had considered everything. Except for 2 minor details, everything remains as planned.

Tomorrow the roof tiles will be delivered and the roofer will start directly on the roof. Next week the windows are supposed to arrive, because according to our site manager the house will be closed before Christmas

This Wednesday we have the plumbing rough-in meeting. For that, I have now provided all dimensions/installation plans so that we can plan everything properly.

Because with our general contractor for plumbing we decided against the washbasin units and have now commissioned them from our kitchen builder. The selection was much more pleasant, both in terms of colors and dimensions. And in the end it was significantly more attractive in terms of price than the offers from the plumbing contractor.

Much of our construction is going very well, some things could be better. For example, communication or information sometimes falls short. There are now parking bans again at the construction site that we don’t know about but of course have to pay for in the end

But no matter what, so far after a brief consultation everything has been done/corrected very, very well.
