No, Thoma is usually only known by those who deal with solid wood construction. Layered construction made from moon wood, with wooden dowels. In any case, it is not an option for us solely because of the price.

Really gotten that expensive? We didn’t build Wohn Gesund on purpose - as I said, I’m skeptical about that. When I look at the list on the homepage, there are things included that we don’t have and that were not up for discussion, like swamp lime paint, lime plaster system. That really still costs quite a bit. I wouldn’t have paid for that. We only have "the points" that are included in the passive house, like avoiding construction foams. I think that’s good and a nice to have.

May I ask something? Out of genuine interest. I've never dealt with something like this... what would be unhealthy in a standard house like ours? The construction is concrete foundation, concrete screed, floor insulation with EPS boards, aerated concrete walls, monolithically plastered twice with WeberGrundputz, a lightweight plaster filled with Styrofoam, on top a WeberSichtputz white, which was painted again with silicone resin paint. PVC windows and doors triple glazing, installed with foam, underfloor heating gas, gypsum plaster inside except in bathrooms, there lime-cement. Floors partly tiles, partly vinyl. Ceiling in wood with gypsum board and insulation mineral wool from Knaus. Concrete roof tiles on wooden truss roof structure. Paints inside conventional from Sto. Karsten

Nordlys I don’t know if I can answer that correctly for you. The whole thing is not my area of expertise. I wouldn’t pay 400 euros more per square meter either. And in 5 years you find out that a replacement fabric is worse. Allergy sufferers might notice the difference or my little one who is simply more sensitive.

Adhesives, for example in the door under the veneer, glue for floor coverings, etc., there are some with approved substances that are still considered questionable and some in which the substances are either not present or greatly reduced. For example, formaldehyde.

It’s like cream with or without paraffins. Paraffins are considered carcinogenic but are not prohibited.

Hello Nordlys! Especially with "health" insulation materials, there are huge differences. I find a good source is the free pdf from NABU:
LEITFADEN ÖKOLOGISCHE DÄMMSTOFFE
Thermal insulation for residential health and energy savings
Professional editing: Dipl.-Ing. Rolf-Günter Weiß, Dipl.-Ing. Olaf Paproth

May I make a critical remark about this without immediately getting backlash

Sheep wool - animal welfare
Cotton - child labor
Hemp and co - the arable land worldwide is not enough to feed the population
Wood as construction and insulation material, where is it all supposed to come from?

Disposal is also an issue here. The material is not allowed to be applied to the fields as fertilizer
