I have no experience with the companies you mentioned. I chose a regional company that can also do [Wohngesund]. That's the first time I ever came across it.

What is the deal with "Wohngesund"?
Is it some kind of certificate or is it a product name of a manufacturer?
Is there a link to the local company?

At wohngesund, care is taken to reduce or avoid pollutants. For example, formaldehyde. For example, we avoided all kinds of construction foam. Certified products are used, such as tile adhesive. As a builder, you don’t even notice that. At the time of the preliminary sampling (2016), there was no vinyl flooring, you might notice that. I think you can have your house tested and certified before moving in. I have not looked into it in detail. We simply adopted the company’s standard and that’s it. We built with Wir Leben Haus.

Hello mhm Wall is not necessarily more expensive than other construction methods, block construction as well.. It always depends on the provider. Thoma is in the upper price segment, they charge well for their name nowadays

MHM has the advantage that it is often built by local carpentries, for us almost everything was fitting (local wood, good reputation of the carpentry..). We just didn’t feel secure enough with the provider (wishes were not always taken seriously, little flexibility..), and ultimately decided on another provider (post and beam construction with ecological materials). That was a very long decision-making process!

On the subject of death, I see it similarly to you. There are people who smoke, eat fast food and are still healthy. For others, fewer toxic stimuli are enough to become ill. I don’t know which category I belong to, so I try to treat myself as well as possible, without stress. We will all die. Some, however, do so painfully, over the years. I often see that and want to avoid it. It’s about quality of life, not length.

thank you very much for the information. I find the hint regarding Thoma helpful, but I will also get concrete prices from 1-2 Thoma partners. Unfortunately, MHM partners are not located nearby, but let's see if the next two might possibly also build with us. One of the providers even builds with ground anchors.

I would find that great because I consider them more ecological than a reinforced concrete slab. I just have to convince my better half.
