Solid wood or solid timber?

If you have a bad feeling about 1% glue, how do you want to check the interior fittings and furniture?
Read up on the topic of healthy living.
However, it is not a guarantee that something harmful like asbestos won’t be used.
All current pollutants were once classified as harmless to health.

I would never build a solid wood wall because of the terrible insulation values (U-values). You would have to do three headstands to somehow comply with the energy saving ordinance.

I almost get angry when I read something like this. What is this fear of? Cancer? Death? Death will come, be sure of that, and if you have a genetic predisposition to cancer, it will come with cancer. Otherwise, with a stroke. Or Parkinson's, or whatever. Oh yes, very few are very lucky and die of old age. Very few! Whether with laminated veneer lumber or with log beams or with clay blocks...

Thank you for the quick responses.

:
The reference to the Energy Saving Ordinance is helpful.
Otherwise, I no longer trust the U-value since I saw a YouTube video by H.G.-Unterrainer and Konrad Fischer about it. Keyword "effective U-value."
The latter can no longer be consulted - died of cancer.
Nevertheless - and this is my opinion - I want to minimize avoidable risks.
Besides the mentioned causes of death, especially ladders and stairs cause many "micromorts."
Still, I use both. But I avoid a ladder with rotten steps, even though I will "move on" eventually.

Looking forward to experience reports with the above-mentioned providers.

: The aforementioned YouTube video is by "lightaspect" and is titled "Modern Timber Construction - U-Value? Nature with High-tech". Unfortunately, I can't send the link, but you can find it right away. The content convinced me a lot. I need to check what the Energy Saving Ordinance says about it - Bureaucracy Germany

One should not speak ill of the dead, but if you take to heart the nonsense he spouted in life, you have taken the wrong train anyway.
