Wow - first of all, thank you very much for the many answers. I will try to address many things.
Yes, the issue with the cooktop being so close to the wall was also a topic for us. Currently, we have a super small kitchen and it was not a problem so far. Therefore, we didn’t think much more about it. We can still move the sink a little. But since the drain is already in the floor slab, there are probably limits. A SBS has always been my dream. Built-in refrigerators are unfortunately not an option at all. Yes - the downdraft ventilation... was a long topic for us. My wife raves about it and definitely does not want an extractor hood.
We have now reconsidered and really like the suggestion from hausnrplus25.
Since your kitchen is not small, it is questionable whether so many wall cabinets are necessary?!
Personally, I would extend the wall cabinets on the left around the corner from the tall cabinets and then finish with an open shelf.
Ceiling spots/lights then above the cooktop.
I would not put a wall cabinet above the cooktop.
In addition to that, we could move the base cabinets a bit. Change the 90 cm on the left to 60 cm, so that there is 30 cm more free space next to the cooktop. I think that should still work with the drain. And then hang two lights down above the cooktop.
Nowadays it is very difficult to find competent kitchen planners. We had the feeling that everyone just wanted a quick conclusion.
