Tall cabinets to be moved and, if necessary, a roll-up cabinet installed. If necessary, place a cabinet above the refrigerator so that the tall cabinets form a unit. Remove the wall cabinets.

A larger island is not an option?

Cooking cramped into the corner and then the wall cabinet above... phew.

I would like a closed tall cabinet wall here with a large island in front, which also has space for the sink and the cooktop.

Yes, of course. In my opinion, they are out if there is enough space.

I honestly find it strange to have the cooktop on the wall and still have a downdraft extractor. Why not a hood?
