Thank you for the answers. Based on them, I have created an alternative draft in which the sink is now placed on the cooking island. However, I lose a wall cabinet due to the extractor hood. For now, I have planned the oven below the stove.

At most, a mixer and a kettle are to stand permanently on the countertop. In the new draft, they could now stand to the right of the stove at the edge of the countertop.

The door leads to a side hallway. A freezer is also planned to be placed there later (where the tall shelf currently stands on the left). In addition, less frequently used kitchen utensils/supplies could be stored in further cabinets there. In the picture below, the open door (on the left) leads to the room of the new (planned) kitchen. The photo is taken from the perspective facing a side entrance door.

The room change is to take place because we want to have two fully usable living rooms with seating: 1. The living room with table and sofa, and 2. the kitchen with kitchen table. Unfortunately, the room of the previous kitchen is so small that no full-sized table fits in. My wife and I sometimes have different groups of friends visiting, so we would like to have two fully usable rooms with seating:

The previous kitchen is separated from the living room by a sliding door. However, vinyl flooring is now to be installed in the room of the previous kitchen and a study is to be set up there.

Currently 152 cm. So it should be sufficient in terms of space.

Wall ovens are extremely practical

I meant that the distance should be a maximum of 120 cm. So it would be rather too large here. Having the stove right next to the tall cabinet can be quite inconvenient to handle.

But there will always be some issue. The room is simply not that suitable due to the many windows and doors. Swapping with the dining room isn't any better either. Do you have a floor plan of the entire floor? Maybe there are other options?

The room is actually not optimal, but the goal is to make the best of it. The question to you would also be whether you find the new kitchen worse compared to the previous one. See the pictures in my previous post for that.

Personally, I even find a larger distance better. We often spend time in the kitchen.

But really, a maximum of 120 cm is enough. It is an island, so every part in the kitchen can be reached via two routes.

In my case, the distance is only 92 cm ... with the cooktop/sink separated, it is really very practical. And it is only a half-island; even there, you can pass each other if you are not cooking alone. So max. 120 ... I would even say rather 110.

What you could do is set the wall row with deeper base cabinets to 70 cm depth. Provides more counter space and, in the preferably pull-out drawers, more storage space.

On the cooking island, you have more than 2 linear meters of work surface, which is a lot. I find it unfortunate to separate the dishwasher and the sink. Dirty dishes are often placed in the sink, then they are wet... and you carry them 1.5 meters through the kitchen from the island to the dishwasher.

The stove is well placed in the cooking island. When you plate food, you put the plates down on the cooking island. If your stove is on the wall, you have to walk back and forth all the time. And do you like looking out at the garden when washing dishes and facing a wall when cooking? Or vice versa?

I would never put an oven in a base cabinet when planning a new kitchen. Every time you clean the oven, you will curse it. A microwave is missing.

In the niche "above" the seating area you are wasting space. Why not put the refrigerator there?
