Washing fruit/vegetables, etc. is the beginning of kitchen work, but after subsequently drying the fruit/vegetables, cutting, etc. begins near the cooktop while garlic/onions, etc. are already frying in the pan or pasta/potatoes are already cooking in the pot. Ultimately, the kitchen island should also be the focal point, as the big advantage is the view through the large window front.

I would run the line along the wall around the corner. There are cabinet placement options that are not optimal but good and possible, e.g. the oven or the refrigerator. This relieves the small line. Have you ever considered turning the island 90 degrees?
