Kitchen planning concept: ideas, suggestions for improvement?

Recessed cooktops are a matter of taste; I don't find it necessary. However, it only works with stone slabs for the cooktop and the sink (sink also with HPL compact, cooktop not recommended due to heat).

For me, it was about thinking about it before "something" is accidentally integrated...

We also thought about it but then decided against it. My assessment is that the countertop (at least with stone/ceramic) will certainly outlast the cooktop and I consider the probability of finding an exactly matching cooktop to be low. But I do think it looks nice.

yes, I had the same "replacement consideration." Miele claimed they would still deliver the same size even in 30 years. We can discuss it again then ;)
