Anyone who has a construction family will hardly ever use a general contractor; that is really nonsense.
This has already been mentioned several times here. But I did not ignore it; rather, we simply hadn't thought enough about the second child yet and will now (have to) do so.
The plan is 2 or 3 in the end
Our daughter is only 8 months old and therefore the second little one was still "far away." It should be understandable that you can’t answer such a question within 12 hours.
I can confirm that. It's not easy even with one small child, or where do you want to drop it off every weekend?with a 2nd child, the available time for personal effort is drastically(!) reduced.
Yup, we want 2 or 3, but we haven’t really thought much about when. We will take a closer look at that in the next few days. You usually have time in the evenings on the weekend. So my dad was also with me at the appointment with the construction company. The consensus at the end was that he makes me a complete offer without sanitary, building services engineering, and tiler (because his guy retired). He wants to break down all trades and as soon as the offer is ready, we will all sit down together and strike out what we want to do ourselves. As a result, we have already inquired about sanitary and tiler services ourselves. I don’t really find this confusing. On page 2 you said: I don’t know what thoughts you want to have now, but you should already know how many children you want. I don’t believe that with 3 children you can (or want to) work more than 50% on the side. If things go badly, that’s several years with loss of income. What does your partner say about how far apart the children should be? A second child before building the house comes faster than you think, but with a 2nd child the available time for own work is drastically(!) reduced.

So, my dad was also at the appointment with the construction company. The consensus in the end was that he would give me a complete offer without [Saitär, Haustechnik, Fliesenleger] (because his guy retired). He wants to break down all the trades, and as soon as the offer is ready, we'll all sit down together and cross out what we want to do ourselves in [EL].
After that, we already inquired about [Sanitär] and [Fliesenleger] ourselves.
I don't really find that confusing.
I grew up in a household of 4 people with 120 sqm. The floor plan includes 3 children's rooms. That should work. Are 140 sqm enough for 5 people?
