Wait, he has no formal training, which doesn’t mean he can’t do anything. Learned everything on the side. There is also endless headhunting in crafts. If you’re an all-rounder, plumbing, electrical, parquet, drywall, all the better. I studied on the side and experienced that with a banking education and very good English skills, people repeatedly became managers. And 40k/year is normal.

Tiles! Still tiles with an s... not with bedroom

Let's leave the salary discussion aside, it doesn't bring much to the thread.

Me? ... how, where, what ... I haven't said anything in this thread at all? ? ? - Finance (and kitchens) are the topics here that almost completely have to do without my two cents, other people's salaries don't interest me, and "construction worker" is a) not an insult and b) is supposed to still be one of the reasonably decent professions today.

Now I'm just wondering whether it's an honor to be "quoted" even when you haven't said anything

The bank apparently usually ended up with "1000€ salary - 100k€ loan" for you when they named you the budget of 450k€. I have often had the impression that this is often the moral limit.

I guess the plan has now become clear after the discussion.

"Switch" from consumption to saving - from "now on" set aside the monthly house payment (minus cold rent) and see if you are still happy with your life. Besides, this will also accumulate equity every month.

At the same time, look for a plot of land, they might not be so densely available (but I have no idea about the area). If you find something, first buy the plot, pay it off, then think about the house.
