whoever reverses out of a driveway is usually solely at fault in the event of an accident (insurances know how to exploit this). That’s why we drive in backwards and out forwards. Design the path for 3-4 ton vehicles, otherwise ruts form quickly, even with a Ford Fiesta.

Fortunately, we have a huge area as a turning point directly in front of the property and we are the last house, so there's enough space outside. Let's see what we get used to, but the parking area seems rather generous to me compared to some others around here. Honestly, the car was almost the last thing on our planning list, because I have never had a garage/carport anyway and parking has never been a problem for me in the countryside where I prefer to live. I could also easily park a few cars in front of the property, it's wilderness here, more sheep than cars.

then just use the carport for its intended purpose, (everything except parking). We would just park briefly in the guest space and then drive out again. This happens in everyday life and you would only need 2 straight driving lanes.

Nothing noteworthy. Not deep, that is not necessary for gravel. Frost cannot "move up" anything there. You can see it where you drive. But we have made an effort to drive everywhere. It was tamped at the beginning as well. You can work well with a rake. Apparently there is no track.

That’s why? I keep learning new things. It would never occur to me.

exactly for that reason, exceptions also have a reason, e.g. being able to load and unload the rental motorhome over the terrace with a short distance, cleanly on foot, that would then also be a reason for a 3-4t access
