Only furniture or also electrical appliances?

Without stove and dishwasher, because we have those and you don't always have to buy everything new just because you are getting a new kitchen. But even with these appliances we wouldn't have reached 10,000. Freezer and refrigerator will be replaced because the old appliances are defective or 20 years old.

With us, the 15k is roughly split half and half between furniture and electrical appliances, if I remember correctly. That's why the question is what you have for about half the price. Although we didn't assemble anything ourselves, and the kitchen fitter also kept some appliances available for a longer time. Pure price comparisons are difficult with kitchens anyway. The quality of the fronts differs, and whether you have drawers in the cabinet or just shelves also makes a big difference. The same goes for electrical appliances; for every model there are countless variants that differ by a cryptic code but have very different prices and functions. And then there's the question of what "without compromises" means for you. Everyone defines that differently ;)

Yes, you can always spend more money, but you don't have to. We have an L-shaped kitchen measuring 4.5x2.5m with drawers below and extra tall cabinets above. We don't need gimmicks, and we're completely fine with standard appliances. It's up to each person to decide what it's worth to them. And to save money, we also install it ourselves, which would have otherwise cost around 1800€. We'd rather invest time instead of money and assemble it ourselves.

I am also an Ikea fan. I think that €10,000 will be enough. The kitchen will not be that huge.

Do you already know the new kitchens from them? I was a big IKEA fan for a long time and still have a lot from them, but I have to say that the Metod kitchens disappoint me. I had a Faktum for many years (>10) when I was renting, and it was great in terms of price-performance. But the new Metod kitchen we currently have really doesn’t convince me anymore. It’s okay for renting / for our current apartment, but I wouldn’t want it again in the house (ownership). We are moving this one now because it’s still so new, but we only use it in the utility room/pantry.
