Morning,

please excuse the possibly somewhat salty behavior..

I really hadn’t paid attention to or dealt with the ridge requirement. The background is that I have already spoken several times with the district and the city, and they did not give me any other information.

It will certainly be exciting, I can tell already.. further information will follow.

I was rather thinking of leaving out the opposite window in the living area to get a larger space for the multimedia section; I actually find windows in the dressing room quite practical, maybe the small one can go.

Regarding the courtyard, I think I’ll sketch the building on my property to see how it feels to me.

Best regards

The window in the dressing room massively takes away space for wardrobes. However, as far as I remember, the floor plan is not exactly overcrowded with storage options so far, is it?

That's how I see it too. When there are no children yet, you tend to completely fill up the children's rooms, but these rooms are hopefully meant to be inhabited by little ones someday. And then there will be a lack of storage options. By the way, I am a big fan of built-in wardrobes in long hallways – that gives the hallway an additional use beyond just getting from point A to point B. However, the width then needs to be adjusted accordingly.

I would say: stake it out and experience it live with garden chairs.

Dwarf 1 can already walk and dwarf 2 is still awaited: then the stroller has to go somewhere. And the rocking horse. And the toy shop. Lots of stuff that you don’t want to buy again in three years, just to be able to give it away after the first use. So space is needed.

I would actually like to mark out the courtyard and experience it "live" myself. To me, it gives a very oppressive feeling and doesn’t have the airy quality I would want for an outdoor seating area. It lacks spaciousness. And besides: then I sit there with my coffee or wine and look into the dressing room? Or at a blind? I don’t really like that part. Generally, however, I do think the idea of having a living wing and a sleeping wing is good. In your case, though, I definitely think storage space is missing here as well!
