Who charges this price?

Keyword special permit. That’s just an application form! Who claims there is great effort involved? I suspect a general contractor and/or their installer. Ask a drilling contractor! It’s just one phone call away. Then just have the drilling done by the builder and the installer only connects the heat pump.

Just as a note, thermal protection verification is not the same as heating load calculation.

You can also have a heating load calculation done externally. It’s not that expensive. There are even a few (more or less good) calculators online, for example at u-wert.net. Just to get a feel for it.

Otherwise, arrange options. With a price per meter drilled. Or ask a drilling company and have the drilling done on site.

That is on site anyway. I was more concerned about the technology. If I want to change the equipment after signing the contract, they won't offer it to me at a top price.

Then take it as an option. Should he record once his air-water heat pump and once a ground-water heat pump. Which one you choose is up to you.

Just for your information, KFW 55, 192sqm, controlled residential ventilation, spits out with our real transmission heat losses 4.85 kW maximum heating capacity (calculator at u-value). Of course, that is just an online calculator.

Emphasis again on maximum heating capacity ... it is only needed in exceptional cases and not continuously. Oversizing, for safety, is absolute nonsense. If necessary, there is an electric heating element.

Hi Alex,
to begin with, we are building with an architect in individual contracts, so no BT, general contractor or main contractor.

The price is given by three independently consulted sources:
1. The company specialized in refrigeration technology contacted 2 hours ago, just a phone call away
2. The drilling company, also just a phone call away
3. Our architect, who has already installed several geothermal heat pumps in the region and showed us an offer from a drilling company from the end of 2012 for one of his construction projects

Regarding the deep drilling:
Quote from the development plan: "Geothermal probes at the location are generally possible. The maximum permissible drilling depth depends on the height of the drilling starting point and ranges from 60 to 65 meters. The Estherian layers in the deeper subsurface must not be completely drilled through. According to the information from the Nuremberg Water Management Office, no drilling risks are known or expected."

It seems that your conditions differ drastically from ours here. It is certainly true that for you it is only a form, but here it is not, and if three independent people assure me that it’s not done here just with an application form, should I seriously respond that someone from a forum reports it is different in their case and therefore it has to be different here as well?

However, if you yourself are a drilling contractor, I look forward to your offer for my project. Otherwise, I guess I have no choice but to accept it as it is, as much as I would wish for your conditions here...

I said myself, there can be exclusions. If you need x short drillings, that is understandable.

Apart from that, I don't trust heating engineers (too much uncharted territory) and even my own architects gave a crazy estimate until a real offer was available. It has to be modern and therefore expensive.

I wouldn’t do it for 15T€.
