Could you tell me what this drilling cost you and when?
Somehow, with the offers I have for a comparable object from 2012, I don't even come close to the four-figure range – and certainly not in the subsidy range.

So either all drilling companies here in Franconia line their holes with gold, or your drilling cost indication is incomplete, i.e., the scope of services is different.

Because here with us, we are also rather at €12k - €16k for 9.6 kW...

Did you drill deeper than 100m in Bavaria?

For me, the drilling costs 6700 euros, for a 5KW heating system.

is a current offer for execution in 2018. 100m in one borehole with probe and improved grout including house entry and initial filling with brine. Basically ready to connect for the heating technician who has to hook it up to the heat pump. Including all the paperwork. Price 6000€, on-site disposal of the drilling debris (obtain container) approx. 300-500€. Renowned specialist company.

It saves money to drill only once! No connectors/couplings, no inspection shaft, no repositioning of the drilling rig.

I don’t know about specifics in Bavaria.

In NRW there is also progres.nrw funding. 10€/m drilling depth. However, it remains to be seen whether that will still apply next year when we have the drilling done. But if so, it is really a zero-sum game (especially since a brine heat pump is about 1-2K€ cheaper than an air-water heat pump due to the lack of an outdoor unit).

For Bavaria, there is the energy atlas with corresponding representations. In fact, many areas are marked there where geothermal energy is generally excluded or can only be approved after individual case examination. I haven't read anything special about the 100m limit on the info pages. But that's not the problem here, rather the completely excessive price. You need the heating load of the building and then you simply call a drilling company in the region and ask for a rough price indication. If it comes out to 10-15k€, then that's how it is.

The plumber just called back. He says that he is planning with a 12kw heat pump. If it is less kw, the thing otherwise runs too much at full load.

Geothermal energy would theoretically be possible..... but at an unreasonable cost expense. He mentioned drilling costs starting from €30,000 upwards.

He strongly advised against gas and solar collectors because that is too much technology for such a large house and the maintenance effort is too high.

He therefore recommends getting used to this ugly outdoor unit of the heat pump.

Heat load calculation!!

I'm not a gas fan, but the statement that this is too much technology ... wow.

There is nothing more to say about the drilling costs.
