Solution with us: Ground floor under the stairs in the wall, upper floor in the small utility room on the wall, as the adjacent room is a children's room.

Try to have the flush-mounted distribution box installed. It looks better under the stairs.

Or have a drywall stud wall built around it. Then there will be one more storage space in the utility room.

Under the stairs on the ground floor, it is flush-mounted. Only in the upper utility room is it placed behind the door and on the wall, since the bedroom is in the adjacent room.

Unfortunately, for us, it was not possible to position it anywhere else than in the bedroom.

You don’t hear anything from it there (I am very sensitive to noise up to the point of having sleep disturbances because of it).
The warmth I had previously predicted I can now confirm.

I have completely turned off the thermostat in the bedroom. After 4 days, it is still too warm in the room to sleep (I don’t have a thermometer, but around 23-24°C?).

We have a controlled residential ventilation system, the room has an exhaust vent, so it pulls warm air from the other rooms.

In the meantime, the wardrobe is placed in front of it (which is not necessarily practical if you want to regulate something on the flow rates (liters/minute) to supply one room more or less), and I think this now “insulates” better and the temperature drops a bit (around 22°C?).
Still, before going to sleep yesterday at just under 0°C, I opened the window to let in cool air.

This morning it was still comfortable (21°C?).

The rest of the house is kept around 22-23°C (my wife otherwise feels cold).

All in all, I would have preferred the distributor to be “ugly” in the hallway, but there was no space there. Although, after moving in and no longer being so detail-obsessed in planning, the sight of a white cover of a HKV no longer bothers me, it just belongs.
I get more annoyed by all the flaws and stains on the wallpaper where I have already painted over three times, but once you touch the wallpaper it gets dirty, I should wash my hands more often.

I had both there. Now both are going into the storage room.

Hello Sven,

make sure that your system is properly hydraulically balanced, then you should not hear any flow noise no matter where the distributor is located.

The actuators operate so quietly that you definitely won't hear anything.
