Our HKV for the ground floor is under the stairs. It was planned to be in the utility room, but our plumber advised against it because the room already gets very warm. The HKV on the upper floor is in the hallway on an exterior wall.

With us, the HKV in the upper floor goes into the walk-in closet in the wall towards the hallway. Out of sight, out of mind. On the ground floor it goes into the office, in the basement into the workshop.

The ideal location is centrally in the middle on each floor, accessible but relatively invisible because it is not attractive. For us, that means flush with the wall under the stairs. It does not make noise. Karsten
