Okay, here are just my thoughts (there will certainly be much more well-founded ones to come): - Entrance: I have concerns about the lighting, there is virtually no daylight. I find that difficult. Therefore, I would leave the passage to the cloakroom completely open so that the window can also have an effect on the hallway. - I find the arrangement of the sanitary facilities on the ground floor somewhat awkward, presumably the shower should not be by the window, right? I would reconsider that. - The walking route from the dining room to the living room would be too narrow for me. And, as you say, not entirely safe with a small child. Could the fireplace perhaps be placed in the more or less dead corner to the left of the current location? That’s where I would rather see it. - The master bedroom could become quite tight with the door opening inward; how would you want to arrange your furniture there? I would sketch that out and simulate whether that is enough space for you. The walk-in closet as a dead-end is a matter of taste, however, it would actually be more practical if the walk-in closet were a through room so that one person does not disturb the other when getting up and looking for clothes. - The bathroom upstairs is awkwardly arranged. If you need to use the toilet at night, sooner or later you always bump into the edge of the bathtub and/or the washbasin – maybe swap the toilet and the bathtub?

Is this supposed to be the result of 3 rounds of planning with a professional planner from a construction company? I have my doubts. Is the site plan oriented to the north? The layout is so tight, you can't even see the street, driveway, or possibly neighbors.

As written, I have traced the plan. As long as we have not signed anything, I do not want to submit any originals. The floor plan is not organized, the excerpt from the development plan is. Yes, we have now gone through three rounds. Attached is also a larger part of the development plan.

Ok, I would say the following: this is not a bathroom, but an imposition. No professional plans a room like this that is not just a technical or storage room. For that reason alone, the plan belongs in the trash – without mercy.
Furthermore
- Pantry very small
- Shower on the ground floor only 80 cm?
- Entrance area quite narrow
- Bedroom next to children's room and only light from one side – would swap dressing room and bedroom

Possibly the plan can still be saved with a few compromises.
What are the exterior dimensions on the upper floor?

Again, such a floor plan with an interior staircase without light and strange L-shaped rooms that result from it. The hallway on the ground floor is narrow, almost 6 meters long, and dark. When the front door is open, you can no longer walk into the kitchen with a shopping basket because the front door is partially in front of the kitchen door. Carrying hot stew towards the dining room will be difficult, the front door must not be open, and no one should jump down the stairs; as mentioned, you can’t see anything in the dark anyway. The pantry is completely useless; it’s better to use kitchen cabinets there. I wouldn’t continue planning with such a floor plan at all.

Best regards
Sabine

Thank you for your feedback. The mood is bad with us now, but you are probably right. We then have to think about how to proceed. The GU was actually praised from all sides, but we didn't really warm up to the first drafts. Just to clear the air regarding the route kitchen->dining: What is probably hard to see in the plan: Between kitchen and dining there is a passage that is to be executed as a sliding door. But that doesn't save the internal staircase. I have to admit, that was originally our idea because otherwise, the office wouldn't have been able to accommodate a closet as it got older. Exterior dimensions upper floor: 9.49m from north to south 9.61m from east to west
