I would have a metalworker shorten the door and paint it against rust accordingly, if it is indeed a steel door. Our side entrance door is made of aluminum.

So it's about this corner? The terrace will be larger than shown?

after now all the (still sparse) info has been squeezed out of you, I can only conclude: your own fault! Why on earth should anyone else pay even a single cent when you make significant changes to the planning afterwards and thus get yourself into trouble? No idea how anyone could come up with such an absurd idea (shaking head) Be glad if they offer you an acceptable solution, but you could also implement (have implemented) my suggestion My suggestion: accept it as a lesson learned, write it off as tuition fees, and think it over next time in advance.

The purpose of 2 terraces and a garage set far back with just over 240 sqm can probably only be explained by the developer. I also find 6 sqm a bit tight, but paving the entire backyard is definitely not a solution. I would completely omit the front terrace, enlarge the rear one to 3x4m, and place it with a 1m gap for a privacy hedge towards the neighbor. Then a path with a bit more slope to the garage, similar to the one drawn in the picture. But not with large slabs, rather with small cobblestones.

What is an absurd idea? The garage side door was proposed by the developer. The terrace extension was proposed by the landscaping company, which works in close coordination with the developer. If you propose something like that, you must first point out the risks and not act as if the builder is to blame. Save your stupid subjective claims next time and focus on the facts or better leave it be.
