We will!

Kitchen: I'm not sure if we understood that correctly. Could you roughly sketch/draw it for our understanding of how it would look? We're not really kitchen experts (so far) :D

I belong to the very old, i.e. at least one person is usually my age then has a health problem. That is why 2 bedrooms would be important to me.

I would put the kitchen planning on hold until the floor plan fits. And seriously consider whether it really needs two offices. Or whether one office and three children's rooms – with only one child so far – wouldn't be completely sufficient and simplify the planning.

I have to slightly "disagree." Three children's rooms upstairs are deliberately planned that way and should be used as such sooner or later. What is labeled as "sleeping" downstairs is meant to become our office. Used by my wife (teacher) and me (IT specialist mostly working from home) together. The idea of initially relocating the office to the granny flat (until my parents move in) only comes from the fact that the flat will be used until then and not stand empty unnecessarily.

So far, suggestions have primarily come for the granny flat (for which we are definitely very grateful!) and we would therefore be happy to see the kitchen proposal from :) Of course, further feedback on the rest of the plan is also welcome, as long as it does not concern the granny flat. We will review that separately with my parents anyway, as described.

I also think it's a matter of taste again, but we deliberately chose _against_ a guest room because we see it as wasted space. We don't have that many overnight guests (does anyone even seriously have that?). And if so, they have to find space on the couch. If that's not enough, they are free to book a room at the local hotel ;)
