For a "really stylish" look (and that only from above), I wouldn’t want to give away 10sqm in my house ^^ But that’s something every homeowner has to decide for themselves. I would immediately know 20 things with which I could use 10sqm additionally (for myself) in a better way.

I rather share the opinion that voids only really have an effect if the corresponding room size and void size are possible. If the void is so small, for me it has the taste of having it only to be able to tick it off on the in-vogue list.

Of course, you don’t give up space for an atrium if you could use it better. We were unsure during planning and even during the construction phase how our atrium of about 8 sqm would work. Family, friends, and the builder were also skeptical. By now, (almost) everyone thinks it’s great and the builder sometimes brings potential buyers to show them the effect and the proportions. 90% of the time with a positive result.

Having a large window at both ends of the corridor is something special. You wouldn’t get that effect with a closed room.

We have openable windows on both sides of the corridor so that smells disappear within 5 minutes by cross-ventilation.

I know which "atriums" you mean, but for me those are more like galleries and require a living space of at least 250 sqm for 4 people to accommodate all rooms.

Cross-ventilate at the top, how do you open the window at the top, electrically?

no. To the right of the airspace is a studio with a window.

Great house we looked at a few yesterday and for us it is clear that we would not build without air space, I feel too "confined" there. Are there more pictures of your house including the floor plan and the house you showed before?

Thank you. Looks more spacious from above than expected. I wouldn't have thought so. You have a harmonious house.
