Unfortunately not. I am currently experimenting with your floor plan because I believe that the storage rooms in the middle of the house are counterproductive. Be that as it may – I do not see a result with this staircase and house shape without distorting your ideas
Would it suit your experimenting if the requirement for a separable residential unit were removed? We are also open to a different staircase design. What we still definitely want is a vestibule at the entrance area – ideally directly with a wardrobe. One should not stand directly in the living room/kitchen as soon as one enters the house. Furthermore, we want direct access from the garage into the house, as well as to keep an office on the ground floor. Basically, the room program itself should already include this, as it is also considered in the plan. As for the house shape, we are basically only limited by the setback distances.
Do you find it difficult to read my diagnosis constructively (I have deliberately written it simply)?
In fact, our design is based on a floor plan of acquaintances whose external dimensions are 13x14m (so the proportions are actually similar to ours) and appeal to us visually and in terms of spatial feeling. From this, we have tried to integrate our "compromises" (separable residential unit; garage-house connection; guest WC with shower). The implementation within these external dimensions seems not feasible for us financially and due to the "space reasons" on the property.
We actually find the pantry arranged in the middle quite nice. Here, we would imagine possibly planning an additional niche to place a side-by-side refrigerator, thus having more workspace in the "kitchen" itself. This is also independent of whether and how the plan changes in the future.
Many thanks to everyone who takes on our concerns and contributes their thoughts :)
