To avoid misunderstandings, the two linked articles are only covers for cut edges to be able to close shortened drawer fronts (as filler panels).
Of course, you can also install the oven at 50 cm height, but then you have to use a 10 cm drawer panel below and above it.
Thanks for the hint......
hm, I am also currently planning an Ikea kitchen and it shows it to me when I open the tall cabinet for the ovens.
When I click on filler strip, it adds such a small thing to the open gaps at the oven.
ok... let's take a closer look... I will have this case soon too... I took a picture...
gap above the oven.
The parts list included such a filler strip... but I still have a gap at the top.
Probably like you.
now I went to the filler strip and deliberately chose a high gloss red one.
You can see in the second picture where the planner puts it.
The parts list says - Ringhult drawer front high gloss red.
So I assume - that little plastic thing is only for even smaller gaps, or to cover the edge between the appliances... or as you say for cut edges and the like.
If the "hole" is bigger... you need a matching 10 cm drawer front for it.
Ha......... just learned something myself again.
Bye Sabine
