I'll come out as someone who didn't find the initial plans bad at all (the new ones, however, I do). However, I don't understand a few things, and therefore I have a few questions for :

- You talk about the beautiful view to the southeast, but what is so bad about the west/southwest that you are completely building over it or have extremely minimized windows there?
- I find a double garage inherently barrack-like. Is it a must, or could you also imagine a carport directly attached to the house?
- Why is the entrance on the west side and not towards the street?

I was thinking more in this direction:


First, entrance from the street: this way, the carport can be positioned space-savingly close to the house and additionally, there is a practical private corner on the west side. The utility room can be reconfigured and also used immediately as a pantry. The long ground floor hallway is thus alleviated. The cloakroom space is between the hallway and the guest room as well as below the stairs. The kitchen and dining area are compact and can be equipped with windows according to taste. The living area, on the other hand, is now large and could be separated from the dining area with a room divider or similar. From the stair hallway, I can access the kitchen or living room (the optimal furnishing for the living area still needs to be worked out).
The eastern hallway window upstairs I would make as wide as the hallway with a 45 cm sill height and then have the carpenter build me a lounging meadow as a window seat. Naturally, also as wide as the hallway and nicely deep. Otherwise, there are only a few minor things to improve upstairs.

Draw the bay window in. Because you also have a chimney flue there…

I don’t understand this objection. The southwest has most of the windows, doesn’t it?! And instead of the bay window there will also be a window?! I myself have noticed that the window area on the southeast in the upper floor is very sparse – only in the hallway… For understanding or comparison: south is top left :cool: Anyway: I also would not have swapped living room and kitchen. But I like the upper floor better now.
