Oh, I mean the shaft is already marked. Behind the chimney there is at least one that goes through all the floors. Whether that is sufficient for the chimney and wastewater, I of course don't know.

Thank you for the positive comments. We would gladly receive further feedback.

What is your opinion on the garage size of 3.8m x 7.5m? We originally had 3.5m width and then increased it by 20cm to have space when getting out and also room to pass bicycles or similar items. For the length, we simply took the middle between 7m and 8m. At the back, only the trash bins, bicycles, and possibly winter tires are supposed to go, but nothing larger. Does this seem reasonable to you? Anything not considered?

You will be happy about the additional space now still called a granny flat, because apart from the 12m² basement room I don't see much storage space in the house, and a hobby room is also something.

I discussed this with the general contractor today and he would lead the pipes down through the wall between the living room and the office. Regarding noise development, he has more or less no concerns, but he would take that into account in further planning.

I would make the garage as wide as possible. Why isn't it a boundary construction? The strip next to it is of no use to you, you just have to keep it tidy. Is it even allowed to place it like that?

The width of the garage also has to be paid for and should be worth it, hence currently 3.80m. We don’t want a full boundary construction for two reasons: 1) the contractor said the street would have to be blocked off until the garage is built (because it slopes) and 2) we purposefully placed the gravel device between the garage and the street because it doesn’t interfere there.

What do you mean by allowed to place it like that? Why not? I have a maximum window for the garage, which is specifically marked at that position. It doesn’t have to be fully used.

My question was rather whether this is practical in everyday life or whether it would be better to go a bit longer/wider.
