I would even vote for V1. In V2, the sofa looks nice as a room divider and the living room is nicely separated from the other rooms, but that is a matter of taste. I always find it nice to be able to see the dining table from the sofa, in case there are more people, or if one is sitting on the couch and another at the table, and you can still communicate. In V1, the kitchen is also nicely separated.
Separating the kitchen from the living room was very important to us. Exactly those arguments make the decision difficult for us. We have to reflect again and answer the question for ourselves what is more important.
True. But do you sit on the sofa like in cinema seats?
There are nice swivel wall mounts for that.
Of course. But I find it looks nicer and calmer to place the TV straight on the wall and let the cables disappear invisibly through a conduit in the wall. In the case discussed, the back of the TV including the cable mess would greet me every time I come out of the dining room.
