Thanks again for the many points to ponder! Water and wastewater disappear into the exterior wall in the timber frame houses – I had already asked about that for the original location of the upper floor family bathroom. By saying to lay the pipes directly, I obviously meant both... But the position between the children's rooms is not above the bathroom, utility room, or WC. What would be the advantage there? The privacy screen for the WC doesn’t have to be there, it just happened that way. We don’t want a “built-in shower,” but one with a glass partition. Otherwise, I like the idea of the washbasins in front of the T-piece. What you perceive as cramped or spacious in the bathroom probably always depends on what you’re used to. In the current old apartment, the three of us have 3m² for shower, washbasin, and WC – basically the guest bath downstairs, oops: The redesign of the staircase, WC, and utility room, which creates the wardrobe, is great, I’ll show it to my better half right away. I found the route through the kitchen and living room less "winding" before. The kitchen island practically served as a room divider between cooking and eating. With the staircase in the living room, we had the following plan (after we abandoned the little storage room idea): complete closure to the hallway by a sawtooth wall from the steps up to the ceiling. The niche then offers space for a play corner and crawling blanket or later a bookshelf and beanbag or similar.
