How deep are the cabinets in the dressing room planned to be? Are they even 30 cm with the shallower ones? What do you want to store here?

Ok, we will think about it again, personally I would probably have left out the separate room downstairs, but my girlfriend wants the separate room on the ground floor also for old age to use it as a potentially necessary bedroom, I rather think that in case of emergency one could use a stairlift. The alternative ground floor layout would then be usable again and the utility room also a bit larger. The toilet arrangement works for us as it is.

True, on one side they are not planned very deep, the question is, do you need a window in the dressing room? Or maybe reduce the window size. The longer side should have at least 60-70cm deep cabinets, the other side probably 40cm ones are enough for small stuff.

I find almost 18 sqm for a children's room quite generous. You could easily take 2 sqm from that and thus provide the storage room with a bit more space. Otherwise, it would need to be clarified how often you get visitors and who they are. Are they the parents who need a proper sleeping place or friends who can also sleep on the living room couch?

For example, with us, the junior got a pull-out bed, where my parents also sleep sometimes. He is allowed to sleep in our bed. In the future, there will be a proper sofa bed in the living room if my son, thanks to puberty, simply no longer wants to give up his room or if the puma cage should no longer be imposed on guests.

The study is not suitable as a bedroom for the elderly. One has to climb over the other because there is no space to walk around the bed.

The hallway is too large and still lacks a proper coat rack. How wide is the space for the dining table? It could be tight with occupied chairs. The children's rooms upstairs are quite spacious. I would reduce them in favor of storage space or office/guest room.

Draw your existing or desired furniture to scale in each room. That way you’ll most likely notice where the tight spots are. Don’t forget the train set, handbag collection, books, and DVDs, etc. We won’t just place the 6m bookshelf somewhere.

One could certainly think about it again, as only one child is planned, so the second room upstairs could also be used as a guest room, it could only change if suddenly there are two. I also think that a larger sofa bed in the living room could be enough for guests or your solution with the pull-out bed in the children's room.

I see it the same way so far, but I have no idea how to change it yet, I think I have to do more convincing work and it will either disappear completely or become a pure, small study in favor of the rest. I see the hallway similarly but have no real idea how to change it; I could also get used to a different stair shape or location, just not right next to the front door as we didn’t want it there and we already liked the upstairs as it is. I think I am now oversaturated with different floor plans and arrangements so it is hard for me to find something fixed, I am also looking through the other threads here again for suggestions.

Maybe someone still has an idea for the ground floor that we haven’t thought of.

A rise height of 19.7 is sporty. Gives the staircase another step.
