Alternatively regarding the wardrobe, I would suggest swapping the front door and the fixed element. That the front door basically has a left hinge. This way, the wardrobe could be placed on the right side next to the study.

I didn't do that either. I explained the style defects in post #4 – regarding the new floor plans, I didn't criticize anything in terms of content, but only that I find them hardly legible (poor resolution, exacerbated by patterned areas).

I am not a floor plan expert, but I found Würfel*’s solution much smarter, at least regarding the stairs, hallway area, wardrobe, and study. The study in the new floor plan seems quite narrow and a good / intuitive place for the wardrobe for 5 people is not really identifiable. Definitely successful in the new design is the swap of the bathroom and utility room on the upper floor. I also like the four similarly sized rooms on the upper floor; you are very flexible with room allocation, and that is good. Personally, I would keep the bedroom rather in a "peripheral location" and not place it between two children’s rooms, but that is individual and varies from family to family. The good thing is that you could swap the rooms if the allocation does not work well or works better differently.

The discussion is somewhat older, but nevertheless and perhaps precisely because of that, I would now be interested in the final floor plan. We are facing a similar situation: 1.5 floors with SD 45°, 3 children's rooms + bedroom + bathroom + children's bathroom on the upper floor. I assume your house is finished and inhabited? Would you do anything differently from today's perspective, and if so, what?

Out of curiosity: What exactly is a Mettwurstklinker?

It is a clinker whose inhomogeneous reddish coloration resembles the texture of a coarse Mettwurst. So exactly the bestseller among circles for whom Northern Germany is a vague concept, where the Waterkant already begins in Münsterland, and who do not roof their pseudo-captain’s house with thatch.
