Don’t worry, it’s not taken the wrong way. I would phrase it as "I know what I want" but yes, exactly this resistance to advice combined with pathological know-it-all behavior would surely have led to similar problems even with a separate architect. But I don’t think we need to delve into depth psychology with me now, that train has left the station. Before the thread turns even more to the merits of competent planning, I would like to get back to the matter and try to improve my skills and the quality of the floor plan. The general topic has already been discussed extensively in other threads. I will probably only be able to post a newly revised version, especially regarding the kitchen, bathroom, and all the windows, tonight.

Then also draw some patio furniture into the plan.

Then you can read drawings and visualize the content spatially, a good prerequisite to return foreign ideas into the drawings if you like them.
Read the given notes several times and check if you would like them.
If several floor plan variants arise from this, you will find the one that is right for you.

Hey, thanks a lot for the example. That always helps.

I found an "old" picture of how we solved the kitchen area. The kitchen was not completely set up yet. The splash guard behind the stove was also missing. Maybe as inspiration.

Hello everyone, I just spent a few more hours on adjustments and attached the results.
[*]There has been a large-scale replacement of the windows on the upper floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows only facing south. [*]The kitchen now has an exit to the garden, but I am still unsure how/whether to make this look pleasant in the view. With a width of 1.885 m, floor-to-ceiling windows do not fit there. And a (floor-to-ceiling) door with a window directly next to it with a sill above the countertop is difficult regarding shutters and probably fundamentally nonsensical. So I have to work on it again, but perhaps only after a more detailed kitchen design. [*]A lot of walls have been moved to make the furnishing more plausible according to our actual needs. [*]As far as my patience allowed (I am still working with a vector graphics program without architectural functions), I tried my hand at actively designing the exterior views. I did not draw the views separately, so it requires some ability to abstract to derive them from the floor plans. Also, it is not yet exact to the centimeter, but the architect at the general contractor can straighten that out.
