hm... But you can see yourself that a bungalow is not age-appropriate if you have to send a resident through the whole house to make them walk from the bed to the toilet. The dressing room hardly has any space to move (I assume that the tube is a dressing room?) and the corridor as a dance floor wastes a lot of resources of the living area?! What do you say to our suggestions, ?

Thank you for the suggestions, both are good. I will show them to my parents. On Saturday I drew together with my parents again. My parents like the solution quite well. My mother definitely wants to keep her wardrobe in the bedroom and still have a dressing room. (More thought of as a storage room with wardrobes rather than a dressing room. We would make the wall a lightweight wall so that it can be easily removed if necessary and thus create more space in the bedroom. The only drawback is, yes, the path from the bedroom to the bathroom goes through the whole house. We will now have the architect draw the variants, let’s see what he says about it.

Place the bathroom closer to the bedroom. The path could potentially lead to embarrassing accidents. It is also not pleasant or healthy to always walk lightly dressed through the living room and the hallway. It's enough if one has the [Rüsselseuche] and the other receives visitors.

Take graph paper, draw the floor plan and all existing or desired furniture to scale, including movement space. Not just the table, but also the chair. Tables then become huge areas. You calculate at least 80 cm from the edge of the table to the wall. If you have a table 100x200 cm, that is 260x360 cm.

We also have a bungalow. Our conclusion: The hallway will be the hub that you walk through multiple times a day. So give it some attention to make it as attractive as possible. Then very important (also because I experienced it with my grandma): The bathroom directly next to the bedroom. As you get older, your bladder weakens, and anyone who has ever had a kick to a full bladder during pregnancy knows that every meter counts. Topic double garage: My father-in-law also didn’t want to part with his motorcycle because he said he still rides it. But seriously, does your father really still do that, and if so, for how long? Age spares no one. Planning a double garage for that is a real waste of space and money. Better to have a single garage as a workshop with a door to the garden. Behind the garage then a small carport where the race bike can be covered and stored. In front of the garage then another large carport for the car(s). Topic house shape: A bungalow in a rectangle shape is always bad and creates uncomfortable hallways. See if you can get an L-shape. This way you get a covered terrace and can place the rooms much better.

That was set for us,
distance from toilet to bed max. 3-4m,
and no constant lighting at night,
that wakes a woman up.
Put the draft aside and take on version 2
