For a bungalow of this size class on a flat plot of land with a planting obligation strip, we had here: a thread, albeit with a slightly different roof shape.

The plot is almost square: with this orientation and a looser building envelope to the back, i.e. east, a south garden suggests itself, meaning a precisely rotated house with driveway in the north. Forgoing two entrances saves a lot of space and makes the floor plan more attractive. I see no reason to give up a nice upper floor. Since you forgot the office anyway, a reallocation of the rooms is necessary. If the bedroom is smaller, a dressing room would be needed. If you want to waive a dressing room, enough closet space must be available in the bedroom. Saving on both does not make sense for a new build. That this also applies to the plot, I mentioned in the first post: 519 sqm is not large!

So we also have a bungalow and as a family with small children we love it. No stairs! The children already play in their room very early and I don’t have to sit there because they don’t want to play alone at the beginning. It’s only for a short time, but the single floor really makes a difference. Otherwise, take a look at [Winkelbungalows]. With those you get better layouts and the garden is integrated more beautifully. Then really make sure to avoid long hallways. They make it unnecessarily dark and the short distances (which you learn to appreciate in a bungalow) become unnecessarily longer. Possibly convert the attic and put the office and/or master bedroom there. Because something else I notice: you have little storage space.

I would love that too. But somehow a house plan depends on the plot of land.
How much land do you have ?
Here it is 519 sqm... and with 2 parking spaces and the room program, that's simply unreasonable. Not to mention this long building structure.

we have positioned our bungalow of 125m2 on a 1120m2 plot in such a way that Grandma's house ([Gartenlaube 1925 5mal erweitert]) could remain and later could serve as a building plot for a new house

We have almost 1000 sqm of land. Our bungalow (15 m x 15.5 m) fit in well there. But you first have to have the building area for that.
