The bathtub fits and only a shower would go into the reduced bathroom 1, I apologize for the quality of drawing 4. By removing the wall at the sink, two kitchen units could be placed and the door to the HTR there could be made of glass, allowing a bit more light to come in from there as well. The next version will then have access to the HTR through the kitchen.

I wouldn’t put the bathtub in the guest bathroom. There are two of you, so you want a nice bathroom and not to bathe in such a small bathroom with a tiny window, right? I also don’t like the access to the utility room through the guest bathroom, it makes the bathroom too big and the path to the dressing room couldn’t be more complicated. Through the kitchen, it’s different (in my opinion better) than in your alternative 5 – see my new plan. By the way, I had also moved the entrance about 50 cm to the south

However, because of the direct transport of fresh and dirty laundry, I would still prefer access through the bathroom and a window door for the technician, so they don’t have to go through your private quarters. But, as always, it’s a matter of taste.

....is getting better and better! I don’t like the two doors to the dressing room, one should be enough and would look calmer. I would probably remove the access from the dining room. Same with the HTR/utility room, I would also remove one door there and possibly consider separating the rooms and accessing from outside. I would probably remove the door of the guest bathroom, that way you would have more "room to play" for design/use. In my opinion, it’s now just these little details and individual preferences, where a door should be and how the utility room is used, etc. I like solution B a bit better, although the access to the utility room seems space-consuming here and the previous one, through that inner corridor, seemed "better." I just received the plan from , as I see, and I really like the access to the utility room from the kitchen there, and the bathtub also belongs in the master bath, that’s true. That way you’d have a large pantry/utility room right next to the kitchen, which I find nice, and you could still consider separating the utility room and making the HTR accessible from outside. But I really like the floor plan like this!

The floor plan of Würfel is good. Only the second bathroom is not usable for the care of parents. Ypg is right about that.

Since we also have a bungalow, here are a few more comments:
Canopy: Don't underestimate it in a bungalow. The attic insulates well downward in summer, but good shading through a porch makes the interior wonderfully cool. All the neighbors envy us our cool house in summer. You will still get enough sun.

Access to the sleeping area via the dining area: I personally don't like that at all. You always have to maneuver around the dining table. That will quickly annoy you a lot.

Access to the utility room through the kitchen: Definitely not! With the laundry basket past the stove where your partner is cooking ... [Würfel*] has shown a great alternative via the bathroom. You will learn to love this corridor. Because where does the dirty laundry end up? Exactly in the bathroom or bedroom. That way, you don't have to go through the whole house.

Storage room: I really miss an option for storing the vacuum cleaner or cleaning supplies with you. You simply need a small storage closet.

Fireplace: You can't place it completely freely. Otherwise, you end up with a very long chimney, which looks very poor on the outside. Try to position it as favorably as possible so that it integrates neatly into the roof shape.

Otherwise, I can only recommend you to check out our bungalow. It has proven itself totally even with 2 small children (I run around a lot there). The walking distances are compact and short. Only one door between the storage room and kitchen would be added in the next years (when I get a new kitchen). Maybe you can pick up one or two things from that.

I would enlarge the terrace roof, extending it from the living room corner out to the bedroom line. Then swap the living room and kitchen/dining area. In my opinion, the kitchen is the most important workspace in the house; why is it being pushed into the darkest corner? Towards the southwest, I would consider about 150-200cm as heat protection in summer.

We have a terrace roof with a depth of 4m facing southwest – in winter the sun still shines deeply into the living room, but of course not in summer. However, it also protects our garden furniture in winter, and we can leave them outside. The canopies all around used to be 70cm deep; due to the external insulation, now only 50cm; 70cm was better.

I would give the utility room an additional exterior door for boiler replacement/service; for that, from the bathroom to the utility room only a 'narrow' pass-through door.

I would add the hallway in front of the guest bathroom to the bathroom, then it is large enough as a care bathroom (so for two people, one with a walker for example).
