Why? – that would be serious. So, thirty years ago, that was an absolute "must" in the villas I designed – which of course had to top the main house on Robin Masters' estate. Even two glass walls, if you want to know exactly: from the entrance hall and the living room, so you could enjoy the view of the Camaro, Countach, and Vector

And today I say, you don’t even need the garage directly attached to the house. Well, the biggest critics of the elk used to be elk themselves

Thought this is a dream for car enthusiasts.
Find the glass walls ugly and tacky

Funny, the topic of a glass wall to the garage. My department head expressed this dream last week to be able to see his few vintage cars from the living room. Let's see if he makes it happen?

For me, 2.8m garage width would be too little. Cars with mirrors nowadays are usually already 2.1m wide. If the car is parked in the middle, only 35cm remain to the wall. You can drive in a bit off-center, but not by much. The car also has to be driven quite far forward, otherwise, when coming through the kitchen door, a dent is inevitable. If it is only planned for wheels or other things, then 2.8m is OK.

Regarding the door design into the garage, I wouldn't be so sure that these should look the same as the other doors. There you leave the thermal envelope of the house, so the doors must be different, as they also need insulation.

The Camaro is okay, but Countach and Vector definitely.

Back then, the Hummer, or a Blazer / Bronco or similar – converted with wheels higher than the car – was considered tacky (without the world yet knowing the Geissens).

With vintage cars it is certainly not tacky. Alternatively with a Wiesmann.

The theories discussed here in the forum I cannot understand in practice. 355F1 without scratches, W124 even with wheel rack beside it. 290 cm inside width, and I am an average driver.

The checkered area of the sketch corresponds approximately to the property size.

If I build, then with aerated concrete. The pure stone is then already 425mm thick.

I placed the entrance there because of the orientation of the property.
We currently have 2 cars and 2 bicycles. 2 motorcycles are planned.
I actually wanted to export a 2D drawing. Unfortunately, the online program doesn’t allow it, or I can’t find it. (Only noticed this after I was done)
A second small storage room is planned under the stairs.

Does anyone have a tip for a 2D program?
