I share your assessment regarding maneuvering. Unfortunately, I currently see no other option except to have a carport on both sides of the house, which then looks a bit like Mickey Mouse ears... A double garage would steal too much living space on the ground floor...
As far as I understand development plan No. 900 of the city of Bochum, the following is noted in the textual version:
"2.2.4 Top floors
...
In general residential areas WA 1, for buildings with flat roofs, an additional floor above the top full floor is permitted if it is set back by at least 1.00 m on all sides behind the vertically rising outer wall of the full floor below."
I understand this to mean that this development plan is stricter than the state building code, which only targets 75% of the floor area below. How do you evaluate this?
