I can't quite imagine the implementation right now, but that sounds interesting. Ideal would be a translucent soundproof curtain

Now the whole house is almost entirely based on my sketches and such a stupid corner is driving me crazy. Have I already mentioned that for a possible ceiling lift, floor-to-ceiling openings without any doors would be the most practical? Privacy vs wheelchair accessibility... Maybe a completely open area without any wall. Uncomfortable, but practical. No, better not completely wide open.

The upper floor doesn't really blow me away yet either, but I've consciously not looked at it for days.

You can tell I'm slowly going crazy

You are not alone, we are worried too. It's good that the foundation is from you. That way the house belongs to the family

Then get off the bike for a week.

Yes, you are right. Although in delusion sometimes the most amazing things can come about
Everything will be fine.

Hello,

today I was at our future building site again.

1. Unfortunately, it is quite high up on the hill. The wind is really strong. Do you have any ideas on how we can block the wind from the terrace? To the west and northwest there is only [Acker].... There might not be enough space for a windbreak with different bushes or hedges.
On the ground floor, behind the garage, a kind of single-story extension is planned, probably the kitchen. Today I was thinking whether we could shift the two-story house slightly north towards the street and practically use the extension as a windbreak for a sheltered terrace. What do you think about that?
The site plan is on page 1 directly in the opening post. However, kitchen and living room are swapped in the floor plan. The exact layout is not yet fixed. Unfortunately, I cannot upload the site plan from my phone.

2. A friend who is an expert says I should definitely hire an independent architect even though we are building with a general contractor (GU). Do you think this would bring that much added value compared to the previous designs?

Thank you!

It is better - the wind can be persistent.
