With Yvonne's mirroring of cooking/living, my biggest criticism "distance sofa/TV wall" is eliminated. I also like it that way because you end up directly in the kitchen with groceries, etc., and don't have to go through the living area first.
Bench and table across the island also work well and create free space.
Out of curiosity.
There is a floor mat (1.25 x 2.0m) drawn in the living room. In the long term, we will make a raised podium with a surround for it in the living room.
Is that supposed to be for therapy exercises? And do you then want to plan that as a fixed fixture in the living room?
